Leeds parents go gaga for new free play area at Mothercare

The opening of a new free play area and café at Crown Point shopping park this week has proved a smash hit with Leeds shoppers

Angelina’s Café opened in Mothercare at the centre to a chorus of approval from toddlers and mums alike, with the store’s new adjoining – and free – play area particularly popular with boisterous babies and excited tots.

Part of the Massarella catering group, the new Angelina’s opened on Monday, 24 January, following an extensive £90,000 refurbishment, and marketing manager Annabel Massarella said she was delighted with the reaction of Crown Point’s shoppers. “We have worked hard to redevelop the space in the Mothercare store so that parents can relax and enjoy their lunch whilst their children enjoy the activities,” she said. “We’re particularly pleased that the free children’s play area has been such a hit, with many parents telling us what a great idea it was and how much fun their family had.”

The response on social media has been overwhelmingly positive too. One commenter said she would ‘highly recommend’ Angelina’s, whilst another comment read ‘Lovely food and the play area is a nice touch. Oh, and the staff are happy to help too!’

Angelina’s is the newest name to join the line up at Crown Point Shopping Park following the recent arrivals of Specsavers, Nike and Explore Learning, who have all taken up the remaining spots at the busy shopping destination in the last few months.
