With Leeds working hard to be the UK’s top shopping destination outside of London, we thought it would be worth sharing some of our hot spots to visit in the city for local shoppers and visitors to the fabulous city alike.

Leeds shopping really is ‘On Point’ and offers a huge range of stores and experiences, from the designer Victoria sector of the city centre, to huge household names, department stores and more independents than ever before! We love Leeds, and believe there’s no better place in the north to experience than the effervescent Yorkshire city.

The first stop on our tour of the city has to be the fabulous Victoria Gate, which opened in October 2016. John Lewis stand proud as the flagship store, with a host of designer names opening their doors for the first time outside London including Ghost and Anthropologie.

Taking a step back in time, another firm Leeds favourite not to be missed amongst the glossy new developments, is the venue held close to many local’s hearts; the Corn Exchange. Positioned between the night time hot spot Call Lane, and the Victoria Quarter. First erected in 1861, the Corn Exchange hosts a wide range of independent stores, cafes and specialist services.

Taking a step outside the main shopping area into the upcoming Leeds South Bank, Crown Point is not to be overlooked on an essential shopping trip to Leeds. Hobbycraft, Nike and Mothercare all boast vast stores with the widest ranges of the flagship products available just south of the river in Leeds.

The largest shopping centre in Leeds is the best place to start your walking tour of the city centre, Trinity Leeds was unveiled in 2013 and is home to over 200 high street names, a wide range of restaurants, bars and a cinema. If there weren’t so many other spots to visit in Leeds, a day could be filled just at Trinity Leeds.

The last stop on our whistle stop tour of Leeds, is Britain’s favourite market. Take a stop off at Kirkgate Market, which reopened in January 2017 after major development work took place to keep the 160-year old building up to scratch. 170 traders can be found in the fantastic setting on Vicar Lane.
